Articles

From 1997 to 2003, I worked at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the largest daily 
newspaper in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I spent a year on the night police beat 
before becoming the paper's first cultural arts writer. Since leaving the 
newspaper to earn a master's degree in environmental studies, I have published
a handful of magazine articles and essays. I am currently the editor of Vermont's 
Local Banquet, a new magazine about local food and farming in Vermont.
